PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Oocly I'm open to it. Icly he'll try to move away. It's been a long time since he had a chance to enjoy physical affection from anyone and it may take Basil some time to feel comfortable with it once more. He'll be comfortable with animals or with people who have been always open with him in terms of physical contact like Kel.
PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Yes, go for it. Just keep in mind he's just a normal teenager without special fighting skills.
RELATIONSHIPS: Expect an incredibly slow burn. He has so many personal issues, I think healing comes before anything else. He needs a purpose in his life, he needs to move on from his past, he needs to come to terms with his own actions. As I write Basil, he likes boys, but that's mostly relevant for memes and psls. I'd like to build friendships and other kinds of relationships before focusing on romance in any game- he may be post truth, but he comes with plenty of ghosts a of his own.
Between canonmates, I'm only really interested in potentially shipping with Kel. Aubrey and Sunny could be good and interesting CRS but I have no interest in having Basil romantically involved with them outside of memes. Crosscanon relationships seem more viable.

MEDICAL INFORMATION:
Physically speaking: He's doing well enough. He's underweight, he has often bags under his eyes, but he's still doing decently enough. In memes/psls: He does have a scar on his face where Sunny scratched him, on the bottom of the left cheek. It's not big, it's not that visible, but he cannot ignore it if he looks at it.
Mentally speaking: Oh boy where do we even begin. Spoiler heavy for OMORI ahead: Basil has been on his own for a large portion of his life, it's implied his parents pretty much left him behind with his grandma and proceeded to travel without even checking on him more than necessary. Even when Grandma got really sick, they just hired a person to take care of the situation without coming back. This left Basil scarred, he struggles deeply with feelings of abandonment and deals with rejection sensitive dysphoria.
He's surprisingly good at putting up a front, considering no one really seemed to know he had issues beside Sunny when they were kids, and the only reason we see the mask slip and how traumatized Basil is- it's because we meet him as everything is falling apart around him. His grandma is dying, Sunny is leaving for good (and, from his point of view, leaving him with a monster), Aubrey has been actively hostile toward him. he loses his flower pin after falling into a lake (a present from grandma)- everything is horrible and he snaps. But what people forget is that he kept it together for years, fighting a battle in silence, without telling anyone about anything and doing his best to protect Sunny, at least from his point of view. Even the 'ending' is an attempts of Basil to protect. He'll do all in his power to help those he cares about... hiding as much as possible his own pain.
It's also canonical he deals with hallucinations. He does see Somehting, it's Something that did the Bad stuff, blah blah blah- there is also an alarming level of delusions going on, because once he's convinced of something his mind will do anything in its power to twist the truth in that direction- Sunny didn't push Mari, it was a monster. Sunny didn't abandon him because he was traumatized, he was hiding from Something. Everything will be okay once Sunny is back. There's a lot of unhealthy thinking going on, overall. He seems to have some kind of stress/ post traumatic stress induced psychosis going on but no one is here to read an essay about it.
He's also suicidal, which is a massive trigger warning. In all endings of OMORI but one Basil takes his own life when things become too much. He's overall brave, strong, but felt completely cornered and lost in those endings- and self harm and dark thoughts may be a recurring theme.
OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: He gets triggered by plenty of things, even if he's good at masking. General talks of hanging people by the neck, people falling down stairs and such will upset him. Talking about Sunny may go very well or incredibly poorly, depending on the context of the conversation. Basil will not want to talk about his family, considering his grandma's whole... situation and the fact his parents are basically MIA and probably contributed to his attachment disorders.
